From BIEC’s Desk
More than ever before, post pandemic, one thing is clear – societies and communities find it a fundamental need to come together for events and exhibitions. The recent success of a number of exhibitions organized in India in various regions witnessed lots of enthusiasm among key stakeholders and the general public. Governments, institutions, and industries made full use of these events to drive developments and implementations of their strategies.

The recent 10th edition of the IEIA Open Seminar organized by the Indian Exhibition Industry Association at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre in Bengaluru was a live example of this thought process. The seminar was a meeting place where exhibition industry stakeholders deliberated on some of the most critical contemporary concerns faced by the exhibitions and events industry, and industry stakeholders shared their views to find answers and get support.

In-person exhibitions and events are always the most expedient ways to establish connections and unearth solutions. Notably large-scale exhibitions bring together an entire community at one location and the need for frequent travels to one-off locations get substantially reduced. This bodes well for business establishments as they can source their requirements from one visit to exhibition venues.

It was a pleasure for BIEC to host the IEIA Open Seminar and two other exhibitions, the International Green Vehicle Expo 2021 that showcased electric and hybrid vehicles, and Electronica, Productronica & Laser World of Photonics along with IPCA Expo, SmartCards Expo and MatDispens. The enthusiasm shown by customers reaffirmed our belief in exhibitions as the meeting place for business which would trigger the growth of economy.
