From BIEC Desk

"India is on the move and is moving fast," said Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India while addressing a program at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, recently. Numerous factors such as diversity and swift growth fuelled by its key industrial sectors are propelling India's economy as it bids to rise from the 5th position in the world's GDP rankings.

As it makes rapid strides on the economic front, the country's exhibitions and events sector is expected to do well something which was reflected in the second half of 2023. Meanwhile, UFI in its latest Global Barometer indicates that the exhibition industry will grow to record levels in 2024 with 71% of Indian companies expecting a profit increase of more than 10% in comparison to 2019 figures. Only UAE (91%) and Saudi Arabia (80%) have more companies than India expecting a profit rise

For Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), the year 2023 was significant as it witnessed a growth trend in the size of some of the exhibitions which were bigger, better, and drew larger footfall of visitors compared to previous editions. Shows like Electronica India & Productronica India, Didac India, the India Manufacturing Show, EXCON, IMTEX FORMING, and IndiaWood were examples.

As we move on to the next financial year with some exciting new events Smart Lift & Mobility World Expo 2024, IIJS Tritya, Target, etc. lined up, BIEC would be a place for exhibiting companies to throng and forge new business relationships.
