From BIEC Desk

Indian exhibition industry which on an average has an annual growth rate of around 8 - 10% plays an important role in delivering solutions to the needs of industries, technology firms and consumers.  It is a well-established fact that exhibitions and events are key to economic growth and the Union and state governments recognizing the importance of this industry has been according it support in various ways.

Trade fairs act as a magnifier of business for the entire business value chain right from the manufacturers to the suppliers, wholesale traders, retailers, etc. Of late, we are finding niche industry specific trade shows becoming popular in India with geo-cloning making good headways, and local partners play a role in making these shows a success in terms of footfalls and revenue.

As a result, the Indian exhibition and events industry landscape has a good blend of homegrown shows as well as events and exhibitions that are assimilated from overseas. Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) is a prime example of this. As a venue, BIEC provides equal opportunities for all event organizers with a fair representation of Indian and foreign shows.

BIEC will continue to connect India to industries worldwide and support the country’s efforts to compete well in the global market.
