Bengaluru, 1 June 2022: Global Exhibitions Day is dedicated to celebrating the exhibition industry and highlighting its positive impact on trade, business, innovations, and investments. UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry together with the Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA) celebrated Global Exhibitions Day 2022 (GED 2022) on 1 June 2022.

Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) extended its support to GED 2022 to propagate the importance of exhibitions for the development of various industries across sectors. BIEC celebrated GED 2022 on 1 June at its exhibition center in Bengaluru.

Speaking about the importance of exhibitions, Ravi Raghavan, President of IMTMA said, “Exhibitions were disrupted by the global pandemic. After a hiatus of two years, exhibitions resumed which bodes well for business and society.”

Raghavan adds, “It is important for the exhibition industry to propagate the significance of Global Exhibitions Day. IMTMA and BIEC wholeheartedly support this initiative. BIEC provides one of the best infrastructure facilities for organizing exhibitions and events in India besides inculcating best practices for overall growth and sustainability of the exhibition industry in India.”

BIEC is India’s premier exhibition-cum-conference facility. Spread across 57 acres of lush-green area BIEC infrastructure comprises five exhibition halls, a conference center, a food court, an amphitheater, an entrance plaza, and a large outdoor area. In 15 years, since it was set up in 2007, 373 events spread over 2126 days have been successfully conducted at the venue. These include exhibitions from diverse sectors such as construction equipment and technology, woodworking solutions, machineries, exposition of the startup ecosystem, digital business, and architecture and building materials, electrical, agriculture, IT, textiles, and so on. The government of India as well as the Government of Karnataka have patronized BIEC for various events organized by them.
