BIEC to Host IIJS Premiere 2021 in September

Bengaluru, 6th August 2021: Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) will host IIJS Premiere 2021 from 15th - 19th September 2021. The 37th edition of the show organized by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) will be the first exhibition at the venue since the outbreak of the pandemic with more physical exhibitions being scheduled at BIEC.

The show was officially launched in Bengaluru on 29th July 2021, by Smt. Gunjan Krishna, IAS, Commissioner for Industrial Development and Director, Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Karnataka along with other government officials, GJPEC Chairman, leading retailers, and trade associations.

According to GJEPC India, the 37th edition of the show would have 1300 + exhibitors, and 2,500+ booths in an area of 77,200+ square metres, in 5 exhibition halls. More than 30,000 trade visitors from 800+ cities in India are expected to turn up for the event. Speaking about the exhibition, Colin Shah, Chairman, GJEPC said, “We are delighted to announce the 37th edition of IIJS Premiere 2021 in Bengaluru. An event of this magnitude needs a great venue, so we are glad that BIEC stepped up to help us organise it.”

Shailesh Sangani, Convenor, Exhibitions, GJEPC said, “The Karnataka government was quick to offer all the necessary approvals to organise the show. Shifting the venue has not affected the participants’ enthusiasm, as evident from the large number of applications received from various companies.”

Mansukh Kothari, Co-convenor, of National Exhibitions, GJEPC said, “The show is taking place at an ideal time, before the start of the festive season and I am sure it will certainly boost the domestic and manufacturing trade in India.”
